The Tampa Bay Rays didn't look like they could handle the knuckleball from Florida high school pitcher Chelsea Baker. The team invited the 17-year-old high school pitcher to throw batting practice to her favorite players on Monday at Tropicana Field and she did not disappoint.
"She knows what she's doing out there," Rays manager Joe Maddon told the Tampa Bay Times. "It's not a gimmick."

Even at 17 years old, Baker has made quite a name for herself.
Her little league coach was Baseball Hall of Famer Phil Niekro and it didn't take long for her to develop her knuckleball. Baker's résumé from there is astounding: More than five years without a loss, two perfect games, appearances on CNN & Good Morning America, and a request for her jersey from the Hall of Fame as part of Cooperstown's "Women in Baseball" exhibit.
