We've all been there: it's late, you're surfing the web, you fall down a YouTube rabbit hole of Beyonce videos. It starts off fun, then hours later you're lamenting the fact that you'll never look this flawless with wet hair.
It can feel great to look up to powerful celebrities, but it's important not to compare your everyday life to that of posh and pampered stars, according to Rachel Bertsche, the author of Jennifer, Gwyneth & Me: The Pursuit Of Happiness, One Celebrity At A Time. Bertsche told HuffPost Live's Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani that no matter how amazing Beyonce looks, the full story of her real day-to-day life would prove she's not perfect and never will be.
"It's one thing to be inspired by these women, but you need to remember not to beat yourself up if you don't hit every mark on your Beyonce checklist one day," she said. "And remember there are days when it's actually probably nicer to be me than it is to be Beyonce, because I can go outside in sweatpants and no one is taking my photo."
