After selling out his recent string of Radio City Music Hall performances, Dave Chappelle is more than pleased with how fans have responded to his first headlining gig in over a decade in the Big Apple.
During a special surprise appearance during last weekend’s historic annual Essence Music Festival, the 40-year-old dished to Revolt TV about some of the highlights stemming from his comeback tour.
“Since I did these shows at Radio City and I’ve been doing more touring, the best part about it has been interacting with people and seeing how warm they are,” he said. “Above and beyond whether I do well, it just seems people just want to spread good will, which is a rare thing in my experience and it is greatly appreciated.”
“So to do these shows and come out and have people be receptive to me all these years after I finish my television show, I feel very grateful and I feel appreciative.”
