Usher and Nicki Minaj are the latest to hop inside Pharrell's unstoppable disco time machine, and the trio have come away with the horn-laden dance floor burner "She Came to Give it to You."
The track will appear on Usher's upcoming as-yet-untitled eighth LP and finds the R&B star belting a sizzling tale of club love around a seductive Pharrell groove that's as funky and soulful as what we've come to expect from his recent work. Minaj busts through the door the only way she can, running full steam with boasts about her globe-trotting club takeovers and safe sex metaphors involving the gloves of baseball players and O.J. Simpson.
Back in May, Usher dropped the first taste of his album, "Good Kisser," an auto-tuned throwback jam produced by Pop, Flip, JProof, Terry "Tru" Sneed, Natural and Oak. There's no release date for the follow-up to 2012's "Looking 4 Myself," but the album is expected to hit shelves sometime this year. The album will reportedly feature a number of guest spots, including Diplo, Skrillex, Chris Brown and Juicy J.
"She Came to Give It to You" marks Usher and Minaj's second track together, a fitting sequel to their Stevie Wonder-sampling collaboration, "Lil Freak," which appeared on the former's 2010 effort, "Raymond v. Raymond."
