Haters are gonna hate, even when you're Derek Jeter. Perhaps haters are gonna hate, especially when you're Derek Jeter.

As seemingly every fan and Major Leaguer at Target Field applauded the longtime captain of the New York Yankees before the first at-bat of his final All-Star Game, there was one loud spectator who could be heard yelling "OVERRATED" during the FOX broadcast. Jeter, a 14-time All-Star who arrived at Target Field with a .440 career batting average in the Midsummer Classic, promptly did something he has done 3,408 times during the regular season and 50 times in the World Series: He got a hit.
