MLB Network Host Predicted Mike Trout Would Triple In Derek Jeter And He Did (VIDEO)

Mike Trout Drove In Jeter With Triple, Just As MLB Network Host Predicted

A few hours before the All-Star game, Los Angeles Angels phenom Mike Trout spoke with MLB Network host Greg Amsinger during the red carpet show. Amsinger was confident enough to predict that Trout, who grew up idolizing Derek Jeter, would end up driving the longtime Yankees captain in with a triple in his final All-Star game.

"It's going to be awesome, man, when you drive in Derek Jeter in his final All-Star Game tonight. That's going to be so cool," Amsinger said. "He's going to be at second base. You'll hit a rope down the line. You'll end up at third. He's going to tip his cap to you. It's going to be cool, right?"

Then, it happened. In the bottom of the first inning, Jeter hit the second pitch he saw from St. Louis Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright to right field and ended up on second base. Trout then launched a 3-2 pitch that bounced off the wall in right field to drive in Jeter. Trout ended up with an RBI triple, just as Amsinger predicted.
