'True Blood' Star Anna Paquin: There Are More Deaths To Come In Final Season

'True Blood' Star Says There Are More Deaths To Come In Final Season

Brace yourselves, “True Blood” fans. According to actress Anna Paquin, your favorite characters on the show may not make it to the series finale.

Paquin sat down with HuffPost Live on Tuesday to dish on the HBO hit and explained that anything could happen before the show wraps at the end of August.

“[In] the first season or two, people who were big characters were dying. And then there was this sort of lull in the middle where if it was a big character, they were probably pretty safe,” she said. “And I feel like, storytelling-wise, that gets a little safe, and our show is not that.”

The game plan for the show's final season is that no one is safe, Paquin said.

“So this year, they literally have been like, ‘Everyone is fair game.’ And that is a very specific choice, and it keeps everyone on their toes,” she told host Alyona Minkovski.

But there is a reason for all the madness on the show, the “True Blood” star added.

“There’s an endgame that the audience isn’t necessarily aware of as far as, is that the last time we’re ever going to talk about that? Or did this happen because we’re setting up for something else?” she said.

No matter the endgame, one thing is for sure, Paquin said: "The body count obviously gets higher as we go through the season."

To find out the fate of your most-loved characters, tune in to watch the final season of "True Blood," which airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
