Whoopi Goldberg On 'The View' Changes: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Stop Asking Whoopi About What's Happening At 'The View'

Whoopi Goldberg wants you to know one thing about all the upheaval at "The View": she doesn't know anything.

The speculation about who will take over some of the many remaining chairs on the show is at a fever pitch. It seems like every day, someone is putting their hat into the ring or taking it out.

Just don't ask Whoopi to tell you anything.

"Here's the truth. I don't actually know what's going on," she told Savannah Guthrie on Monday's "Today." "ABC are the only ones who know what's happening."

Guthrie asked if this lack of knowledge was intentional on Whoopi's part. "I don't know because I work like you do for a conglomerate," she said. "I might not be the first person on their list to talk stuff over with." But she stressed that she was fine with this. "I'm OK with that because I like being part of a crew," she said.

Whoopi has historically taken a laissez faire approach to the cast changes on "The View." In 2013, she gave this memorable description of her stance:

"Let me tell you this about 'The View': I take a paycheck every other week. That's all I do. I could give a sh-t what comes. I do my job -- I have a contract. That's where I stand. I don't give a f-ck."
