German Soccer Player Scores Bizarre Goal On A Face-plant

WATCH: Soccer Player Scores On Face-plant

A German soccer player recently displayed a new way to score a goal: by face-planting. During a match against Wacker Burghausen (fourth-tier league in Germany), Wurzburger's Christopher Bieber scored an unlikely goal when he appeared to lose his footing and belly flop on the pitch just before receiving a cross from a teammate.

The ball just happened to bounce off his perfectly-placed head and into the goal anyway.

He's not going to earn any style points for that one, but hey, they all count the same on the scoreboard.
