Sherri Shepherd is leaving "The View" soon, and then, she's going on Broadway.

The departing co-host announced on Tuesday's show that she'll make her Broadway debut as the evil stepmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" come Sept. 9. Shepherd has appeared on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "30 Rock," among other television shows. Keke Palmer, also making her professional stage debut, will step into the title role.

"I am so excited," Shepherd said on Tuesday, showcasing a pair of glass slippers.

Shepherd announced in June that she will be leaving "The View" after seven years as part of the show's roundtable. Co-host Jenny McCarthy is also leaving after this season, and "The View" is currently trying out potential new co-hosts.
