Jose Molina Nearly Passed By Rays Teammate During Home Run Trot (VIDEO)

WATCH: MLB Catcher Shows How Slow He Really Is

After hitting a two-run homer to right field against Oakland on Wednesday night, Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier actually had to put the brakes during his own jog around the bases. That's because he almost passed teammate Jose Molina, who was on first base, after they both rounded second.

It resulted in one hilarious video.

"I wasn't about to stop and let him get some distance before I got going again, so I did the slowest trot ever the whole way home. So it was unique," Kiermaier told the Tampa Bay Times. "I couldn't do anything but laugh. I try not to create any attention toward myself, but I was like, is this really happening right now. We're barely moving. It was pretty bizarre how everything worked out, but I'll take it."
