It's no secret that morning show hosts are up early, but just how early?

The answer: well before the crack of dawn! In a piece published Tuesday, Variety dissected the ratings war between "Today" and "Good Morning America," and also took a look at the morning routines of the hosts on both shows.

George Stephanopoulos wakes up the earliest out of the anchors, at 2:30 a.m. The other hosts wake up around 3 or 4 a.m., and everyone is hitting the day's biggest headlines before the start of their show at 7 a.m. each day. Take a look at the chart below, and visit Variety for more.
