You know what they say about places with big maps...
Travelers were abuzz this week after realizing that a new tourist map of Berkhamsted, a historic town in England, is shaped almost exactly "like a willy."
The waterfront village really can't help it -- their castle, moor and Grand Canal just happen to fan out in a particularly phallic fashion. But really, HOW did nobody notice this map looks like a penis?
Tourism officials admitted they recognized the phallic shape of the map, but not until visitors pointed it out on Facebook and Twitter. By then, it was too late -- the map was already posted on the Canal & River Trust's visitor site.
"We didn't notice it. Somebody should have seen it, I agree," Simon Salem, of the Trust, told BBC News. "...Canals are long, straight things, and when you draw a map it tends to be that sort of shape."
The map is still, ahem, up online, and tourists aren't letting it go easily on social media. Thankfully, as the Trust's Jonathan Ludford told the Daily Mail, they're seeing the funny side.
Even if the weenie-shaped wonder of its map is what gets you there, Berkhamsted certainly deserves a visit. The town of about 16,000 residents is believed to have once served as the capital of England and a luxurious retreat for historic kings.
Today, visitors can explore the remains of an old battle station, ogle the Art Deco movie house and sip ale in one of the many waterfront pubs.
Just use protection when touring at night.
