WATCH: This 'Mindlessly Perfect' Wave Has Surfers Competing for Superlatives

This barrel just. keeps. going.

After you watch this video, courtesy of surfer Koa Smith's GoPro, you'll find yourself wondering (aloud, if you're anything like us) how a single wave can be so smooth, form so perfectly and last for so long.

The "mind-altering footage," which was shot in Namibia's Skeleton Bay, has clearly impressed surfing aficionados. "In late May of 2014," Surfline.com writes, "Koa Smith didn’t just get the wave of his life. He got the wave of his life and her life and your life and my life all wrapped up into one mindlessly perfect, excruciatingly long tuberide at Skeleton Bay."

While "the Best Sand Barrel Ever Ridden" clip lasts for about a minute and a half, Smith said it was a 27-second ride in real time.

As the surf website The Inertia asked after seeing the clip, "Is this real life?"
