Reporter Threatened By Cop In Ferguson Speaks Out

A reporter covering the protests in Ferguson, Mo., says he was " completely shocked" when a police officer on the scene threatened to kill him.

Joe Biggs told HuffPost's Ryan J. Reilly he was standing in front of the media area filming the protests from the side of the road when someone threw a bottle.

"An officer walked up, bald-headed guy, came over, pointed the gun and said 'I'll effin kill you,'" said Biggs, a reporter for the Alex Jones' Infowars website, which is popular among conspiracy theorists.

That cop was later identified as Lt. Ray Albers of the St. Ann Police Department. Video from the scene shows the officer raising his gun and saying, "I will fucking kill you."

When asked his name, Albers replied: "Go fuck yourself."

"I can't believe that that happened in America," Biggs said. "That's something I've seen in Iraq and Afghanistan. In our country? Mind-blowing."

Watch the video above for the complete interview.

Albers has been suspended indefinitely.
