Lifeguard Kylie Daniels told CBS Los Angeles the beach was not cleared of swimmers in accordance with protocol because the sharks were not larger than 8 feet.

The sighting comes a month after a swimmer at the same beach was apparently attacked by a shark, in a video that can be seen here.
