BREAKING: Active Shooter Reported At Fort Lee, Virginia (UPDATE)

UPDATE 11:02 a.m.: According to the U.S. Army Fort Lee's Facebook page, the active shooter was a female soldier who shot herself. More from Fort Lee:

Early reports indicate the Soldier turned the weapon on herself and fired one shot, injuring herself. The Soldier was transported Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. Her condition is not known at this time.

Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are on scene and investigating the incident. Fort Lee officials take this incident very seriously and are fully cooperating with the investigation.

No further information will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Fort Lee leadership will provide a statement to news media outside the Lee Avenue Gate on Route 36 eastbound at approximately 11:15 a.m.

UPDATE 10:55 a.m.: CBS News reports one person, believed to be the shooter, was wounded. A Fort Lee spokesperson told CBS News that there was a shooter on the base, but had no further details

UPDATE 10:04 a.m.: A spokesperson for Fort Lee told The Huffington Post that they received an "all clear" shortly before 10 a.m. No further information is available at this time.

WRIC Richmond reports that the United States Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) headquarters has been placed on lockdown following a potential shooting.

Few details have emerged, but the military base has also confirmed a possible shooter.

"The installation is being locked down until further notice. More info to follow," a statement from the Army read on their social media accounts and website.
