Man Allegedly Beat Puppy To Death With Its Own Dog Toy

A Savannah, Georgia man was arrested last week after allegedly beating a 9-month-old puppy to death with the dog’s toy.

Briceson Moore, 20, is charged with animal cruelty, the Savannah Morning News reports.

Police say Moore confessed that in July, he took a “pole type dog toy” and hit the wire-haired fox terrier, which belonged to his girlfriend, three times on each side. Then, officers told WJCL, Moore “said he didn’t want it to suffer so when it started bleeding from its nose he gave it a hard head shot.”

Moore then brought the deceased puppy to a veterinarian, who told police that while at the office, Moore grabbed the dead animal’s legs and started moving them on the table to make it look like the dog was running.

Police told WJCL that Moore said in a statement, “I just don’t know what hit me. I just pounded him really hard.”
