Bryan Cranston won his fourth and final Emmy award for playing Walter White on "Breaking Bad." Cranston took home Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series on Monday.

"Even I thought about voting for Matthew," Cranston joked of his competition in the category, Matthew McConaughey. The Emmys' lead actor category was unusually stuffed this year, with McConaughey and his "True Detective" co-star Woody Harrelson pitted against Cranston, "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, "Newsroom" star Jeff Daniels and "House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey.

"This is a horrible category," Julia Roberts joked as she was presenting the award. When Cranston accepted the award he spoke of his love of acting and said, "I can only say that I have gratitude for everything that has happened." His co-stars Aaron Paul and Anna Gunn also walked away with Emmy awards for "Breaking Bad," which finished its series run this year and took home Outstanding Drama Series. Cranston also thanked show creator Vince Gilligan and the cast. "My dear friend, Aaron Paul, I love you so much," he said. "To Anna Gunn, my television wife extraordinaire, I love you, especially those scenes in bed."
