ESPN Actually Just Reported On Michael Sam's Showering Habits

ESPN might have taken its locker room reporting a little too inside the locker room.

The sports network actually dished Tuesday on Michael Sam's showering habits during the St. Louis Rams training camp.

Sam, the first openly gay player to be drafted by the NFL, is fighting for a roster spot, with more cuts to be announced later Tuesday. But the story Tuesday morning was how he was fitting in with teammates, and that quickly led to camp reporter Josina Anderson offering this nugget in the video above:

"Another Rams defensive player told me that 'Sam is respecting our space' and that, from his perspective, he seems to think that Michael Sam is waiting to kind of take a shower, as not to make his teammates feel uncomfortable."

Things got even more awkward as Anderson described how she asked the Rams' Kendall Langford and Alec Ogletree about Sam's showering schedule, and -- wouldn't you know it -- they said they hadn't noticed.

A few outlets poked fun. "Now we've got the inside scoop on how things are going for Michael Sam and his teammates in the shower," Deadspin wrote. "Thanks, SportsCenter."

"You're Kidding Us," screamed SportsGrid's headline.

Nope, this is no joke. Sigh.
