Why Women Need To Stop Second-Guessing Themselves (WATCH)

When we're unsure of what lies ahead, it's easy to become filled with doubt and to question ourselves instead of trusting ourselves and embracing uncertainty. And the one thing most women do to sabotage their own path to success, according to Unbinding The Heart author Agapi Stassinopoulos, is second-guess themselves.

Stassinopoulos joined HuffPost Live host Caroline Modaressy-Tehrani to discuss why women need to stop doubting themselves.

"We stay stuck because we think, 'Well, maybe I should do this,' or 'I don't know how to do it,' and we start to give our authority over to our other voices that are depleting us," Stassinopoulos said. "So we stay stuck and in a place that doesn't work for us, and we feel depleted because basically there's a feeling of not trusting ourselves."

The problem is that we think we have to have it all figured out, and we're forgetting the fact that life doesn't come with a user's manual -- we have to just make it up as we go along. Stassinopoulos quoted Louis C.K.:

"Feeling unsure and lost is part of your path. Don't avoid it. See what those feelings are showing you and use it. Take a breath. You'll be OK, even if you don't feel OK all the time."
