Taylor Swift Slams 'Sexist' Critics

Taylor Swift is having none of your sexist criticism. In a recent interview with Australian radio show, "Jules, Merrick & Sophie," Swift spoke about her songwriting process. “The most important thing for me is maintaining artistic integrity, which means as a songwriter I still continue to write about my life,” she said.

When pressed to talk about critics who claim she only writes about her romantic relationships, Swift responded with a brisk takedown of that notion. "Frankly, I think that's a very sexist angle to take. No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says that about Bruno Mars. They're all writing songs about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love life and no one raises a red flag there."

Swift's new album, "1989," isn't out until next week, but it already has two number one songs, "Shake It Off" and "Out Of The Woods." "Welcome to New York," reportedly the album's first track, will be available Monday at midnight.
