Don’t let Hawaii or Tahiti fool you: islands are scary. For every tropical paradise, there’s some Shutter Island or Island of Dr. Moreau -- from which there is no escape but a long (shark infested?) swim.
But fiction can’t compete with the world’s real island nightmares.
