Baby Wipes Company Nutek Disposables Issues Recall After Possible Contamination

Possible Contamination Leads To Baby Wipes Recall

Nutek Disposables, Inc. has issued a "voluntary product recall at the retail level" of wipes sold under the brand names Cuties, Diapers.com, Femtex, Fred's, Kidgets, Member's Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch and Well Beginnings. Bacteria were found in some packages distributed before Oct. 21.

Items may contain Burkholderia cepacia (B. cepacia), bacteria that can pose issues for people living with health problems, such as cystic fibrosis or chronic lung diseases, that lead to a weakened immune system, according to a press release from the FDA.

The brands are sold in retailers including Walgreens, Sam's Club and Family Dollar.

The chart below details which brands are being recalled and where they're sold.
