Jody Hice, Anti-Islam Republican, Defeats Ken Dious In Georgia House Race

Republican Jody Hice defeated his Democratic challenger Ken Dious in the race to represent Georgia's 10th congressional district on Tuesday.

Hice will replace Rep. Paul Brown (R-Ga.), who ran for the Republican nomination in the Georgia U.S. Senate race but lost to David Perdue.

Brown endorsed Hice, a radio host and Baptist minister with anti-Islam beliefs, in July. Dious is a lawyer who was the first African-American attorney to practice in his hometown of Athens, according to his website.
