Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-Ind.) defeated Republican Mark Leyva and libertarian Donna Dunn in the state's 1st District on Tuesday.
Visclosky, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1984, was unopposed in the Democratic primary earlier this year.
