Michelle Williams Skipped An Autopsy To Shoot The 'Say My Name' Video

Two former members of Destiny's Child have previously expressed that they discovered their abrupt firing from the group when the band made a video for "Say My Name" without them (and without their knowledge). Michelle Williams, one of their replacements, gave HuffPost Live an idea of just how abruptly that lineup change came about during a Wednesday interview.

As Williams told host Caitlyn Becker, before she joined Destiny's Child, she had a significant interest in criminal justice. Her interest was so significant, in fact, that she had arranged to shadow the county coroner during an autopsy -- an engagement she was forced to cancel when she got the call about shooting the video for "Say My Name."

"I was supposed to be watching someone's brain pulled back, and instead I was in hair and makeup and tons of extensions being put in," Williams said.

See Williams tell the story herself in the video above, and watch her full HuffPost Live conversation here.
