Tropical Islands Resort Is A Caribbean Getaway INSIDE A German Aircraft Hangar

This Is ACTUALLY The Most Incredible Water Park Ever

When life gives you an aircraft hangar, make an indoor tropical island.

Some 44 miles from chilly Berlin, a faintly Caribbean idyll named Tropical Islands helps sun-starved Germans make it through their long winter.

Visitors in the designer hotel rooms (or camping tents!) at this odd slice of paradise in the middle of Europe can take advantage of seven different spa zones inspired by different areas of the world including Thailand and Africa, 12 bars and restaurants, a beach, a rainforest, a lagoon and a golf course. The hangar is so big -- it clocks in at over 1,100 feet long -- it could house the Statue of Liberty.

Oh, and let's not forget a Tropical Sea the size of three Olympic pools, and the free-floating balloon rides more than 70 feet above the sandy lagoon... ALL INDOORS.

YouTube adventure superstar Casey Neistat recently visited the Tropical Islands park, wandering the drained-out water slides at 2 a.m. and even spotting a live bird in the complex.

Other curious visitors can venture there year-round to tackle Tropical Islands' four massive water slides and see what claims to be Europe's largest spa and sauna complex.

And we're never going to a standard water park again.
