WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama isn't just avoiding taking sides in this year's Super Bowl: He's also declining to choose among potential Democratic rivals in the 2016 presidential race.
Asked by NBC's Savannah Guthrie on Sunday whether he preferred Vice President Joe Biden or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Obama demurred.
"Love 'em both," Obama said. "Good try."
Clinton is widely seen as the front-runner for the Democratic nomination, though she hasn't announced her candidacy. Biden recently said that "there was still a chance" he might run in 2016, but added he hadn't made up his mind yet.
