Rihanna's Harper's Bazaar March 2015 Cover Has Her Swimming With The Sharks

Rihanna Swims With The Sharks For Harper's Bazaar. Literally.

Rihanna has proven her fashion icon status once again by landing the March 2015 cover of Harper's Bazaar.

The Barbadian beauty announced the news via her Instagram account on Wednesday night and shared her stunning cover shots by Norman Jean Roy along with a few more photos from the shoot.

While RiRi simply glows for the feature in a custom-made, bronze-hued jumpsuit by Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing, it's her underwater photo that has our jaws on the floor. The "FourFiveSeconds" singer didn't just roll around the shore for the shoot, she literally went swimming with the sharks. Real, live, actual sharks.

For any skeptics out there, Harper's Bazaar even shared behind-the-scene footage (see below) of Rihanna taking a deep dive into the tank at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa amongst the aquatic life -- including three sand tiger sharks that are at least eight feet long. Amazing.

Rihanna has definitely upped the ante for any stars that think simply striking a few poses in a studio while donning designer clothes makes you badass. Take notes.

The issue hits newsstands February 17. This marks RiRi's first cover for the American edition of the glossy -- last summer she graced Harper's Bazaar Arabia's July/August 2014 issue.

What do you think of Rihanna's cover and oceanic shoot?
