Dad Commemorates Black History Month With A Heartwarming Video About His Own Father

In the latest installment of his "New Father Chronicles" video series, dad La Guardia Cross is observing Black History Month. Titled "His Father Left, My Father Stayed -- My Black Father History," Cross' newest video tells the story of his dad's heartbreaking and inspiring experiences with fatherhood.

"We all know the stereotypes that surround black fathers, so I wanted to tell the story of a dad who never left," Cross told The Huffington Post. He added, "A dad who met his own father for the first and last time 12 years ago. A dad who didn't know he had several brothers and sisters. My dad, La Guardia Cross Sr. Despite not knowing his own biological father, he made sure I knew mine."

Cross also gives a shout-out to "the dads out there continuing good traditions and the ones breaking the bad ones."
