7 Cheap Beaches You Can Still Book For Spring Break

At this frigid time of year, the only thing that sounds better than a beach is a cheap beach.

And if you're dreaming of a spring break spot but haven't narrowed things down yet, there is still hope. You know the big-name places like South Padre Island and Cancun, but if you're looking to get off the beaten path without spending a fortune, there are a number of budget beaches to learn about.

Whether you go big at an all-inclusive or hide out in a little oasis away from the crowds, this can be one of the most affordable spring breaks yet. Check out:

1. Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Many people who head to Jamaica stay in Montego Bay, where things get expensive real quick. Opt for Ocho Rios, an authentic tropical setting with solid all-inclusive deals.

2. Sanibel Island, Florida

Sanibel is a quiet, laid-back alternative to Florida party beaches like Daytona and Miami. It's known for having zillions of collectable seashells. Picture lots of walks on the beach and bar nights with live music. Oh, and you can rent a cottage for relatively affordable prices.

3. Corfu, Greece

Now is one of the cheapest times to visit Europe (and we haven't seen a situation this great in years!), so take advantage of the low prices. Corfu is an especially inexpensive island destination with rocky, pristine beaches with snorkeling, swimming and partying.

4. Virginia Beach, Virginia

This beach town is an easy road trip from many U.S. cities, which can make it quite affordable to get to. Once there, you've got three different beaches to explore and a crazy fun boardwalk.

5. Bermuda

With pink-sand beaches and quick, comparatively cheap flights from the East Coast, Bermuda is perfect if you're craving an island escape but don't have the resources nor energy to schlep further south. There are tons of beaches, a lively club scene and bundles of cheap hotel deals.

6. Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Consider this Cancun's less expensive, chilled-out cousin. There are still great all-inclusives, and you can take day trips to ruins in Tulum, temples in Chichen Itza or even Cancun to party with the spring break masses for a day.

7. Agonda Beach, India

Yes, it's India, so yes, it may cost a pretty penny to get there. But if you've got the time, this trek is well worth your while -- and your dollar. On non-touristy Agonda Beach, you'll find beach huts and guest houses for rent as well as hikes, dolphin tours and yoga centers. Cheers to adventure!
