Fox News' Dana Perino says that a new bill to prevent human trafficking and protect victims faces hurdles in the Senate because "Democrats are jerks."
During Thursday's "The Five," Perino spoke out about H.R. 181, the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act, which passed unanimously in the House last month. The bill is being blocked in the Senate, however, because it contains an anti-abortion provision modeled after the Hyde Amendment. The amendment would prohibit the use of money in a victims' restitution fund to pay for abortions and other health services.
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told Republicans Wednesday that if the anti-abortion language is not taken out of the bill, the bill will not pass.
"So the human trafficking bill is not moving forward because Democrats are jerks," Perino said, pausing, then adding, "on this issue."
"Whoa," the other panelists responded.
"Dana!" co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle said. "Way to get aggressive."

Clarification: Language has been adjusted to better specify the relationship between the new provision and the Hyde Amendment.
