MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (AP) -- Police in Vermont say they visited property last year where millionaire murder suspect Robert Durst once lived while investigating the 1971 disappearance of an 18-year-old college student.
Middlebury police say Durst owned and operated All Good Things, a store near where Middlebury College student Lynne Schulze was spotted Dec. 10, 1971, the day she was last seen.
Police Chief Thomas Hanley said Tuesday at a news conference that Durst and Schulze were in the same approximate location at the same time and that Durst is someone who is "very interesting to us" in Schulze's disappearance.
The 71-year-old Durst is charged with killing a woman 15 years ago in Los Angeles.
Police say they don't believe Durst was questioned after Schulze's disappearance. Her body has never been found.
