'Selfie Shoes' Are Exactly What They Sound Like

Now you can finally get that perfect angle.

Tired of schlepping around a selfie stick all the time? We've found the solution. All you'll need is a new pair of shoes and some crazy-flexible legs.

As an April Fool’s joke, the New York-based shoe store Miz Mooz is promoting "selfie shoes" to those eager souls looking to get their hands on the latest, most vain products out there. In a hypothetical -- yet totally conceivable -- world, selfie shoes would let you dock your phone in the square-toed shoe and take a picture by pressing a sensor with your toe.

“The selfie stick is a great solution to a problem,” says Cheryl Matson, Miz Mooz's director of design, in a fake ad for the $199 shoes. “But in turn it’s created a new problem: carrying it. This was our opportunity to create something even greater.”

Think of how many more poses you can do now that you’ll be able to get both your arms into the frame!

A representative for Miz Mooz confirmed that the prank is part of a marketing campaign for Miz Mooz, though we can't help but think about how such a bizarre invention could become a real thing very, very soon.

In the meantime, better start stretching those legs tonight.
