The video of reporters chasing Hillary's Clinton's van -- dubbed the "Scooby van" -- is a perfect representation of election coverage: gobs of reporters all running to write the same meaningless minutiae as quickly as possible. The coverage and commentary of Clinton ordering food at a Chipotle, to which news networks have probably dedicated more time than climate change in the last month, is just the latest example of the trivialities that dominate campaign coverage.
