Here's Where You Can See Hundreds Of Your Favorite Drag Queens This Weekend

There's only one place that you can see literally hundreds of internationally famous drag queens perform this weekend -- and it probably isn't where you'd expect.

Austin, Texas will play host to the first annual Austin International Drag Festival May 1-3, bringing together queens from across the spectrum of drag performance and all around the world. From "RuPaul's Drag Race" icons like Adore Delano and Pandora Boxx to legends like Lady Bunny and Coco Peru, it's sure to be a debaucherous and entertaining weekend for the thousands of people expected to attend.

The three-day festival is being put on by Austin International Drag Foundation Inc., a 100% volunteer-run 501c3 charity. President and CEO of Austin International Drag Foundation Inc., Jamie Steward Bancroft, explained in an email to The Huffington Post:

Every genre of drag and gender expression will be represented including kings, queens, faux queens, pageant queens, punk rock queens, draglesque performers and experimental acts. Behind it all is the nonprofit... whose mission is the education, support and promotion of drag artists. All profit made from this inaugural festival will help pay for future events, as well as provide funding to like-minded charities that provide social services for the drag artist and transgender communities.

We'll be in Austin this weekend covering all of the acton. Interested in attending? Head here for tickets and information.
