We tend to be skeptical toward anything labeled "of the century." After all, the "Fight of the Century" was rather underwhelming, wasn't it?
But this "point of the century" rally on May 3 between China's Ma Long and Fang Bo in the final of the 2015 Table Tennis World Championships made us believers in the art of hyperbole once more.
While our only table tennis experience is watching journalists go at it on The Huffington Post's table on the fifth floor, the rally seems super-human. Ma Long lost the point but eventually won the championship.
So, Ma Long gets a world title and the privilege of participating in what the International Table Tennis Federation called "the point of the century."
