Hillary Clinton Calls For Paid Family Leave In Mother's Day Campaign Video

Hillary Clinton's latest campaign video is all about paid family leave.

Released on Mother's Day, the video touts Clinton's commitment to fighting for paid family leave, citing her own mother and daughter as inspirations. "At a time that should be so exciting and joyful, I see so many women who are just distraught," she states. "They have to immediately go back to work. They don't know how they're going to manage."

She continues, “It’s outrageous that America is the only country in the developed world that doesn’t guarantee paid leave.”

Clinton's video comes on the same day that John Oliver devoted a segment to paid family leave on "Last Week Tonight." Specifically, he targeted politicians who express support for mothers but don't vote in favor of paid leave.

"You can’t go on and on about how much you love mothers and then fail to support legislation that makes life easier for them," the talk show host said.

Here's hoping Hillary Clinton is the real deal.
