Lindsey Graham Teases Presidential Campaign: 'I'm Running Because I Think The World Is Falling Apart'

Lindsey Graham Teases Presidential Campaign

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Monday he would make an official announcement about his 2016 plans on June 1, hinting heavily he's likely to enter the GOP primary race.

"I'm running because I think the world is falling apart," Graham said in an interview on "CBS This Morning."

Graham has hinted at a presidential campaign before, saying there was a 91 percent chance he'd run.

"I've got to put the means together," Graham told Fox in April. "I think I've got a good message. I think I've been more right than wrong on foreign policy. I've criticized the president for leading from behind, for being weak and indecisive. I've been a problem solver in Washington, and I think I've got something to offer the party and the nation."

In January, Graham announced he'd set up a committee called "Security Through Strength" to begin exploring a presidential run.

HuffPost's Pollster shows Graham struggling against potential GOP challengers, including Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Ted Cruz (Texas), who have all already officially announced their campaigns:
