Jim Kelly Has 'No Doubt' Tom Brady Knew Balls Were Deflated

'Tom didn't need to do it.'

If we really need another opinion on "deflategate," it might as well come from a Hall of Fame quarterback.

Jim Kelly told CBS Sports Network's "We Need To Talk" that he's almost certain Tom Brady was fully aware that balls were being deflated for the New England Patriots' AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts on Jan. 18.

"There's no doubt," the former Buffalo Bills star said on this week's broadcast. Kelly continued, "There's no way that an equipment manager in the National Football League is going to do something to the football without the greatest quarterback ever to play knowing that ... He knew it."

“You do something like that, you’re going to get caught," Kelly added. "And Tom didn’t need to do it.”

Brady is appealing his four-game suspension for his role in the Patriots using underinflated footballs during their lopsided victory over the Colts.
