Republican Says Unions' 'Crazy' Claims Would Make A Nazi Proud

WASHINGTON -- Politicians can't seem to resist comparing their opponents to Nazis, and it usually doesn't go well for them.

But Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) found a new and perhaps unintentionally ironic way to do it Friday while denouncing unions' arguments against President Barack Obama's trade agenda.

He said the things unions were putting out to counter the free-trade push were "crazy." Then he likened their work to an infamous Nazi.

"Goebbels would be very proud of them," said Schweikert, referring to Joseph Goebbels, the infamous propaganda minister for the Third Reich.
