Logo will air the network's 2015 'Trailblazer Honors' tonight, June 27, recognizing a handful of people who have made significant impact on the progress of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) movement.
Miley Cyrus opens the event with a recorded message about her support for marriage equality and the queer community, while President Obama later addresses the crowd through a clip about the remarkable progress of LGBT people.
The event also features performances from Adam Lambert and The Bleachers, as well as appearances from Kelly Osbourne, Tituss Burgess, Violet Chachki, Frankie Grande and more.
“Throughout his tenure, President Obama and his administration have provided the political leadership, will and muscle necessary for the LGBT equality movement to realize so many of its highest aims,” Stephen Friedman, President of MTV and Logo, said in a statement. “As the LGBT community pushes ahead into a new era, we are proud to recognize the Obama Administration for its commitment to LGBT equality and its role in accelerating the monumental progress of the last decade.”
