Hilary Swank Shares The Best Way For Women To Support Other Women

Hilary Swank isn't pleased with the way women in our culture are "objectified and trivialized," but she believes in the power of staying true to yourself and one another as a way to combat it.

When the Oscar winning-actress dropped by HuffPost Live last week to discuss her work with Duracell to honor the sacrifices made by military families, she also shared with Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani the best way women can support other women -- by being an example of living in your own truth.

"Some women might say, 'I want to be an entrepreneur.' Some women might say, 'I want to run this charity group.' Some might say, 'I want to be a mom.' Whatever that is for you, and whatever form that takes, you have to take a step forward into that and just don't be afraid," Swank said.
