Ireland Approves Gender Recognition Bill

Just two months after Ireland legalized same-sex marriage, the country is now the fifth country to recognize a person's self-identified gender.

This newly-approved gender recognition bill allows transgender people over the age of 18 to change their gender without state or medical intervention.
