"Things have turned 180 here. I put things on hold the end of May to deal with a health issue. I withdrew from yoga school and after many doctor visits, tests and medication changes, decided to have a 4th cardiac catheter ablation. That's procedure where a camera and a cold laser type of device is threaded through the femoral vein into the heart to locate and destroy areas where the heart is misfiring. I’ve suffered with atrial fibrillation and every few years or so the medication becomes less effective. I noticed things deteriorating as early as last fall but tried to overcome it.
I canceled my October trip to Nepal and I lost my dog, Rocky. We rescued him 14 years ago from an abusive owner.
I may see about finishing up the yoga program in late September if I am up-to-snuff or maybe I'll be on to something new. I continue to try things that interest me. I recently tried a float tank and just finished a 30-day clean eating self-challenge and am starting on another 30 days with no grain, dairy, soy, additives, sugar or sugar substitutes and no caffeine.
All of these events are teaching me to understand and accept "impermanence.” I've had to mellow out on the goals and I am OK with that!"
