'The OC' Mansion Is For Sale, But There's A Heartbreaking Catch

Everything you know is a lie.

Fans of "The OC," consider this an early Chrismukkah present.

The real-life house that was filmed as the exterior of the Cohen's family home, the set that served as the centerpiece of the show's four-season run, is up for sale. The house, described by Sotheby's as a "stunning Italian villa," is actually in Malibu, and it's just as beautiful as you remember from TV.

But before you pack up Princess Sparkle and head west, be warned: Not only is the mansion not located in Newport Beach, you won't find a sulking Ben McKenzie lying around the pool house when you get there. In fact, the real property doesn't have a pool house at all.

That's right, much like the "The OC's" melodramatic plot lines, your Cohen real estate fantasies are just that. What you do get, however, is a breathtaking, 6,376-square-foot home with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a chef's kitchen, all for the hefty price tag of $6.25 million.

If you do happen to have a couple extra million handy, and can get past the fact that you've been believing an "OC" lie this entire time, you're probably going to want to call a realtor quickly. We have a feeling this property will be scooped up faster than you can say "Welcome to the OC, bitch."
