Nicki Minaj And Miley Cyrus' VMAs Feud Was Reportedly Not Staged

"Miley was pissed."

Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards allowed Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift to patch up their Twitter feud on stage during the rapper's opening performance, but soon after, another fight erupted.

While accepting her award for Best Hip-Hop Video, Minaj took the chance to call out host Miley Cyrus in what seemed to be a too-good-to-be-true VMAs fight. But was it staged? According to Entertainment Weekly and and E! News, not entirely.

When Minaj wrapped up her acceptance speech, she threw the attention back on Cyrus saying, "And now, back to this b***h who had a lot to say about me the other day in the press. Miley, what's good?" The rapper was referring Cyrus' comments on the Minaj-Swift Twitter feud from a recent New York Times interview. The "Wrecking Ball" singer's reaction was so shocked that it's hard to believe she's faking it.

EW reports that a source close to MTV confirmed the incident wasn't staged. According to an anonymous source from E! News, Cyrus was reportedly pretty upset about Minaj's surprise attack once she got backstage. "Miley was pissed," a source allegedly told E! News. "She stormed backstage cursing and yelling about it as she headed toward her dressing room."

Cyrus hasn't mentioned the confrontation on Twitter yet, but Minaj made sure to laugh about it right after.

Regardless, it looks like Sunday night gave us our first (possibly) real VMAs onstage fight.
