The Home Decor Terms You Had No Idea You're Pronouncing Wrong

Well, this is embarrassing.

Decorating your home seems simple enough. And then you find yourself in the aisles of Ikea, on the verge of major tears and questioning how four years of college have brought you to a point where you can't even say the name of your soon-to-be couch.

You aren't alone.

In fact, we have proof that many other people are right there with you, which we learned when we tested the home decor knowledge of a few HuffPost staffers. Ellen Fisher, Dean of the New York School of Interior Design, also swung by our offices to help us set it all straight. Spoiler: It's pronounced fung-shway, not feng-shwee.

Check out the video above for some more commonly mispronounced decorating terms.
