Kahlua's Pumpkin Spice Flavor Is Exactly What You'd Expect

Prepare ye, for pumpkin spice onslaught.

The winds are changing across the country, and they're blowing in a ton of pumpkin spice.

What started in lattes is now found in everything from bagels and hummus to (I can't believe I'm typing this) Extra gum.

And once again, from the high mountains of Veracruz, Mexico (thanks to the makers at Kahlua), you can now get drunk on pumpkin spice martinis, white Russians or mudslides, with Kahlua's limited edition pumpkin spice flavor.

But how does it taste?

We made a pumpkin spiced martini, as suggested on the back of the bottle "for that festive experience," and it was as you might expect -- a punchy mix of nutmeg, coffee, pumpkin-ish and sort-of-rum flavors.

We shook one up and sent it around the office and here's what we got from various anonymous testers:

"I really really really hate that. The end notes are good though."

"I don't hate the coffee flavor part. It doesn't taste like pumpkin spice at all."

"It's really warm going down the back of my throat, but it would be really hard to take a big mouthful."

"A shot would be miserable."

"It tastes like watered down, flat Coke with vodka in it. It tastes like so many things."

"It tasted like a candle."

"Don't smell it!"

"It would probably be better in a coffee." (We tried that, too. It is.)
